Rogan and I took a sneaky peak around our home today. It's so tempting to keep driving past as it changes constantly right now. He's so enthused about his new room, but can never remember where it is. I'm sure that's just because everything looks like sharp pieces of metal right now. We're using Zog framing which, as a building officer and someone who's lived with earth quakes their whole life, I'm not completely sold on yet, but love the fact that we can still build in bad weather (you can't do that with timber). So here's an overview of how we're progressing. The view from our lounge. Won't be much in winter but will look nice to have a carpet of green leaves and cream flowers in summer.
I couldn't resist taking this. There's something so industrial about trusses . . . especially steel trusses.
This one's taken from my bedroom door looking all the way down the hall with what will be the toilet at the other end. (Thank goodness for ensuites or I'd wet myself by the time I got out of bed and all the way down there.)
And the overall view from the road.
