About Me

My photo
The past two years have been all about adjusting to motherhood and finding my way through it via craft. The out pouring of this came in the form of my blog Aunty Mum. Now I'm finally finding my feet, the children are growing, I'm getting some independence and my interests are morphing . . . into cooking. Join me in exploring creativity in many forms, food, fabric, frowns and laughter.

What an awesome end to a lovely day

Enjoying a cuppa after dinner I was amazed by these cloud formations. I know there’s rain coming (just in time for the kids to go back to school), but this was so lovely that I felt it was a fitting end to a pretty good day.

All that blue sky, a bright sun and some rain just building up for watering my garden.

And it’s been such a busy day that I haven’t had much of a chance to work on the Gala Blanket. I gave in to temptation, however, and have started joining the squares (my apologies for the untucked tails). I just can’t help myself I’m afraid.

I’m so pleased with the result so far and after the weekend there looks like a big gap on the horizon for lots of crochet, tidy home, baking, cups of tea with friends and all those lovely things the school term affords a mum. Alas, I have three quite worn out angels after a big day playing and socialising so I’d better go and do the stories, the teeth, the prayers and the bed. See you all tomorrow!
